Hi, I’m Katie!

I’m a self-taught photographer, mom of three, wife, vintage treasure hunter, and firm believer that your kids absolutely do not need to behave for family photos. Honestly, it’s usually better when they don’t. I picked up a camera because of my daughter, Adaline. Then came Thea and Finnley, and somewhere between the snack wrappers, sibling arguments, belly laughs, messy hair, and approximately 47 requests for someone to please put their shoes on, I realized something:

This is the good stuff.

Not the perfectly posed, everyone-looking-at-the-camera version of life. The real version. The way your toddler still fits on your hip. The missing teeth. The little hand wrapped around your finger. Your husband pretending he hates pictures and then secretly loving them. The chaos. The cuddles. The weird personalities that make your family your family.

That’s what I want to photograph.

My sessions are relaxed, a little chaotic, usually full of laughing, and very low on the “everyone stand perfectly still and say cheese” nonsense. You don’t have to know what to do with your hands. Your kids don’t have to cooperate. And you definitely don’t need to apologize to me when someone inevitably loses their mind.

I’ve got you.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably find me with my family, hunting down something old and unnecessary that I absolutely needed from a thrift or antique store, or convincing myself I have room for one more vintage find. Life moves ridiculously fast. Your kids grow. Things change. And one day, the ordinary little moments you barely noticed become the ones you’d give anything to have back.

So bring me the messy hair, the belly laughs, the shy kid, the wild kid, the husband who “doesn’t do pictures,” and all the beautifully imperfect pieces of your life.
