Client Turned Friend
I never treat my "clients" as clients. From the moment you arrive to a photo session with me I want you to feel as if a friend is taking your photos. Sometimes that friendship extends further then the photo session, and that is exactly what happened with Holly. I first met Holly, hubby Phill, and their two boys Caleb and Tripp for a maternity session on the beach. After a few minutes the boys warmed up to me over some fart jokes. Phill relaxed after I made a friendly little joke at his expense and Holly and I laughed together from then on. I love to use friendly jokes to help people loosen up for photos. It brings out the real smiles and helps everyone feel at ease. This was only two or so years ago and so many sessions since but Holly and I have stayed in contact and often chat and hang out over more then just photos.
Ellie Girl and the Funniest Big Brothers
Most of our photo sessions are of the sweetest baby girl Ellie. Shes a wonderful model. I have taken her Newborn photos, her 6 month photos, her first birthday photos, a few family sessions in between and even a pumpkin bath this passed October. Her big brothers love her just as much as I do. Especially Tripp. He has always been so excited to have Ellie in his life. He loves to help me catch her smile. Sometimes I will let him take photos with me as a bribb to get him to sit still and give me not goofy smile for a moment. Sometimes it works, for all of about 30 seconds. But he and his brother are goofy and too funny and I wouldn't have it any other way!
Neighborhood Photo Shoot
This most recent session was certainly bitter sweet. This was to be the last photo shoot I would share with the Signore Family before we headed off to Germany. We spent a little over and hour together chatting and laughing as I snapped photos. I even got Phill to say more then two sentences! I sure am going to miss them all. I may have even cried a little hugging Holly goodbye after our session. But really its just see ya later! Especially with the amazingness that is Facebook for keeping in contact.
